We have been making seamless aluminum cylinders for over 30 years, working in collaboration with Bruin Engineered Parts in Canada..

Cylinders

We make seamless impact extruded low pressure
aluminum cylinders.

We can make 4 diameters and various lengths. All below are CE approved sizes. Pressure equipment directive approval is granted by Apregaz in Belgium (CE0029). We operate under B1 and Module F ( B1 = type approval) (F = batch approval) we get a module f for every Batch produced.

Batch will be a letter sequentially increasing every time and the year of manufacturing.

The manufacturing process achieves the strength of the material, which is 99.8% aluminum. 1 in every 500 produced is burst.

The design based around EN3-8 and the formulas contained in there to arrive at the wall thickness.

All cylinders are subject to a pressure test which is 1.43 x working pressure we have two working pressures commonly PS = 18.8 and 23

The burst test is typically 55 bar

We have two types of neck configeration:

Type A - Counterbore Type B - Chamfer
More Suitable for water based mediums and smaller extinguishers More Suitablie for powder and larger extinguishers
Most cylinders are made with the M30x1.5 thread however they can be made with other threads

Production runs can be made in any RAL colour or unpainted.
Common colours :-RAL3000 - Fire Red
  :-RAL6024 - Traffic Green
Working Pressure (filling pressure) = 16.5 Bar at 20oC

PS (Developed Pressure +60oC = 18.8 Bar

PT (Test Pressure) = 27 Bar

Minimum Burst = 55 Bar

Temperature range -30oC to +60oC p

We can service and maintain fire extinguishers.

Our technicians are trained by the British Fire Consortium and have regular updates on changes to British Standards.

We work to the Maintenance Standard referred to in the RRO (Regulatory Reform Order 2005 (Fire Safety) which is BS5306-3:2008. Siting and positioning of fire extinguishers in accordance with BS5306-8:2012 Refilling in accordance with BS5306-9:2015.

We pride ourselves on working to the standards and try to work for you our customers hence we keep the price of annual service to a minimum.
